About Umengle

A random video chat that pairs two strangers over live one-on-one video and ends the moment either side leaves. Below is how it works, what it can and cannot see, what it costs, and the rules.

What Umengle is

Umengle is a random video chat. It connects two people who have never met over live one-on-one video, keeps them together for as long as both want to stay, and ends the moment either side leaves. There is no account to create and nothing to install.

That is the entire product. Everything below is a detail of how it behaves.

How a match works

You open the site and allow camera access. Umengle then looks for another person who is online at that moment and places the two of you in a room that nobody else can join. Neither side chooses the other — that is what makes it random, and it is deliberate: the moment you let people browse and pick, the product turns into a browsing product and the conversations stop happening.

Ending a chat takes one tap. It does not notify the other person, does not ask for a reason, and does not carry anything into the next match.

What we can see, and what you should keep off camera

Umengle does not ask for an email address, a phone number or a social login to start a chat, so an anonymous visit leaves almost nothing behind. Conversations are not kept after they end.

What the site cannot do is control what you choose to show or say. Anything you put on camera, the other person can see, and can record with tools that have nothing to do with this site. Treat every call as public in that sense: keep your full name, address, workplace, financial details and account credentials out of frame and out of the conversation.

The privacy policy sets out the full picture, including what changes if you create an account or buy something.

What it costs

Matching and video chat are free to use. You are not asked for card details in order to talk to someone.

Where money does come into it, it is stated on screen before you spend anything — never as a surprise mid-conversation.

Who this is for

Adults. If you are not old enough to be talking to strangers on camera where you live, this is not the site for you, and we would rather say that plainly than bury it in a terms page.

Beyond that, there is no target user. People come here to practise a language, to fill a late hour, or because a feed does not talk back. All of those are the same product.

The rules, and how they apply

Moderation runs around the clock, and report and block controls stay visible during every call rather than being buried in a settings menu.

Nudity, harassment, and any attempt to involve someone who is not an adult will get an account removed. This applies to both sides of a call equally — being the one who started the conversation does not change it, and neither does the other person appearing to go along with it.

If something goes wrong, reporting it does more than arguing does. The report reaches moderation; a comeback reaches nobody. The community guidelines spell out where the lines are.

Contact

Questions, reports, or anything about this site: [email protected]. It is a monitored address, not a form that goes nowhere.
